The Yale PM ratchet lever hoist is a compact, manually operated lifting and pulling tool designed for applications that require portability, rugged construction, and controlled load positioning. This configuration provides a 1 Ton load capacity and 5 ft Lift with single-strand load-chain reeving. Its short 12 in operating handle and 13 in minimum distance between hooks make it suitable for maintenance, construction, fabrication, equipment installation, and rigging work in confined or awkward spaces.

High-strength ductile aluminum is used for the housing and operating handle, producing a durable hoist with a net weight of approximately 14 lb. Heat-treated alloy steel spur gears provide long service life, while the lifetime-lubricated internal mechanism helps reduce routine maintenance requirements. Forged steel upper and lower hooks swivel through 360 degrees and include safety latches to help retain properly positioned rigging attachments.

The self-adjusting screw-and-disc load brake compensates for brake-lining wear and is fully enclosed to help protect its operating surfaces from foreign material. Free-wheeling operation allows unloaded chain to be moved quickly for faster hook positioning, while the conveniently located selector supports one-handed operation.
