Product Description

Product Description: The Western HS-262B Series 3800 lb Manila Rope Steel Block is a robust double-groove rigging block designed for use with manila rope cable from 7/8 inch up to 1 inch in diameter in general rigging, construction, marine, and industrial applications where multi-part line reeving and increased mechanical advantage are required at medium to heavy capacity. Standard steel blocks offer the durability and strength of an all-steel construction suited to demanding field and industrial rigging environments. The HS-262B Series in this configuration is rated to a 3800 lb working load limit and is well matched to medium duty rigging applications where manila rope is the preferred or specified line material and a double-groove configuration is required for block and tackle arrangements with 7/8 to 1 inch rope.

The two 4-3/4 inch sheave grooves allow this block to be used in multi-part line reeving arrangements, enabling greater mechanical advantage and increased effective lifting capacity when configured in a block and tackle system. The sheaves run on bronze bushing bearings, providing reliable and consistent performance in field and shop rigging environments across a range of operating conditions. The 8 inch block size accommodates the larger 7/8 to 1 inch rope diameter range and two 4-3/4 inch sheaves in a manageable steel block form factor suited to medium duty rigging configurations, and the 3800 lb working load limit reflects the increased capacity enabled by the double-groove reeving arrangement with the larger rope diameter.

The HS-262B Series standard steel block in this 7/8 to 1 inch rope configuration is designed for integration into block and tackle systems and rope-based lifting and pulling arrangements where a dependable medium-capacity double-groove manila rope block in a steel construction is required. The block is compatible with standard rigging hardware including hooks and shackles rated to the appropriate working load limit. All connected rigging components must be rated to 3800 lb or greater, and the block must be inspected before each use in accordance with applicable lifting and rigging safety standards. Manila rope must be inspected for wear, fraying, and degradation before each use and replaced when signs of deterioration are present.
