The CM Powerstar Electric Chain Hoist is a heavy-duty lifting unit designed for demanding industrial applications that have traditionally required a wire rope hoist. These double-reeved models provide 5 Ton or 6 Ton capacities with a 20 ft Lift. The available configurations include single-speed and two-speed control, lifting speeds from 4 to 24 FPM and 230 or 460 VAC electrical service. The listed models have 34 in headroom with lug suspension and 36-9/16 in headroom when installed with a trolley suspension.

The rugged aluminum alloy frame houses machined and hardened steel helical gearing designed for high mechanical efficiency and long service life. A heat-treated alloy steel liftwheel with machined chain pockets provides strength, wear resistance and consistent engagement with the Hoistaloy load chain. Life-lubricated bearings and a sealed oil-bath drivetrain help reduce maintenance while supporting smooth operation in heavy production environments.

The Powerstar incorporates a dual braking system with efficient regenerative braking to provide controlled stopping without generating excessive heat within the drivetrain. Standard adjustable upper and lower screw-type limit switches restrict hook travel, while the overload Protector device helps guard the hoist against excessive loading. Weather-resistant pushbutton controls and available trolley arrangements support use in steel production, heavy manufacturing and other rugged industrial settings.
