Product Description
CM Powerstar manual geared trolleys provide controlled horizontal travel for compatible Powerstar electric chain hoists installed on overhead runway beams. The listed configurations cover capacities from 2 to 15 Ton, with adjustable beam-flange ranges and minimum-radius requirements selected according to trolley capacity. Hand-chain operation allows the suspended hoist and load to be moved accurately without requiring an electric trolley motor or separate power supply.
The adjustable trolley design accommodates compatible American Standard and flat-flange beam sections. Machined and hardened universal-tread wheels allow the same trolley wheel profile to operate on either beam style, while double-row tapered roller bearings support smooth travel under load. The geared drive uses spur gearing to transfer movement from the hand chain to the trolley wheels, providing greater positioning control than a manually pushed trolley.
The 2 Ton configuration fits beam flanges from 3.33 to 5-1/2 in and negotiates a 48 in minimum-radius curve. The 3 to 6 Ton configuration fits 5 to 6-1/4 in flanges with a 66 in minimum radius. Higher-capacity models use wider beam ranges and a 120 in minimum radius, including 7-1/2 Ton, 9 Ton, 10 Ton, and combined 12 to 15 Ton configurations. On geared Powerstar trolleys, the standard hand-chain drop terminates approximately 2 ft above the load hook at its lowest position unless another length is specified.
