Product Description

CM Powerstar motor-driven trolleys provide powered horizontal travel for compatible Powerstar electric chain hoists installed on overhead runway beams. The listed configurations cover capacities from 2 to 15 Ton with single-speed travel rates of 35, 50, 65, or 100 FPM. All models shown are configured for 230/460 V AC power, with capacity-specific beam-flange adjustment ranges and minimum curve requirements.

The powered trolley is based on the same operating arrangement as the Powerstar geared trolley, but replaces the manual hand-chain drive with an electric traverse motor. A reversing contactor mounted in the control enclosure energizes the motor, while pendant push buttons allow the operator to move the hoist and suspended load in either travel direction. This arrangement supports faster material movement and more consistent positioning than a manually pushed trolley.

The adjustable trolley design accommodates a broad range of beam flange widths. Machined and hardened universal-tread wheels permit operation on compatible American Standard and flat-flanged beam sections, while double-row tapered roller bearings support smooth wheel rotation under load. Spur gearing is used throughout the motorized trolley drive for efficient power transfer and dependable industrial service.
