This CM friction disc is a replacement brake component for 1-1/2 and 3 Ton Short Handle Pullers. The manufacturer’s parts list identifies part 73742 as the friction disc used in both capacities and specifies two friction discs within each puller assembly.

The discs are positioned within the puller’s sealed automatic brake assembly, with one installed against the friction hub and another positioned above the ratchet. Together, the friction surfaces contribute to the positive load-control function of the puller’s brake system.
