Product Description

Product Description: The Western S-600S Series 4 Ton Wire Rope Lead Block is a heavy-duty horizontal-type rigging block designed for wire rope cable up to 3/4 inch in diameter in construction, industrial, marine, and general rigging applications where rope direction change and load redirection are required. Horizontal-type lead blocks are oriented with the sheave axis running horizontally, making them well suited to applications where the rope approaches and exits the block in a lateral or horizontal plane, such as in ground-level pulling operations, horizontal load transfers, and rigging configurations where the rope must be redirected along a horizontal path. The S-600S Series is rated to a 4 Ton working load limit and is well suited to medium to heavy rigging tasks requiring reliable rope guidance in a horizontal block orientation.

The 12 inch steel sheave provides a generous rope bend radius for 3/4 inch wire rope, helping to substantially reduce rope fatigue and extend rope service life over repeated heavy-duty rigging cycles. The steel sheave construction offers excellent wear resistance and durability under the abrasive conditions encountered in construction and industrial rigging environments. The sheave runs on a self-lubricating bronze bushing bearing, a proven and low-maintenance bearing solution well suited to field rigging environments where regular lubrication may not always be practical. Self-lubricating bronze bushings deliver consistent performance across a range of operating conditions, resist corrosion, and provide reliable service life in both indoor and outdoor applications without requiring frequent maintenance intervention. The block dimensions of 12-1/2 in H x 17 in W x 4 in THK reflect the wide, low-profile form factor characteristic of horizontal-type lead blocks, providing a stable and robust frame suited to horizontal rope path applications at this working load limit.

The S-600S Series horizontal lead block is designed for integration into rigging systems, crane and hoist setups, winch and pulling arrangements, and construction lifting configurations where a dependable medium to heavy capacity wire rope lead block with a horizontal sheave orientation is required. The block is compatible with standard rigging hardware including hooks and shackles rated to the appropriate working load limit. All connected rigging components must be rated to 4 Ton or greater, and the block must be inspected before each use in accordance with applicable lifting and rigging safety standards.
