The Budgit Series USA Spark-Resistant Hand Chain Hoist is a manually operated lifting solution designed for industrial environments where resistance to friction-generated sparks and corrosion is important. The models shown provide 1/2 Ton, 1 Ton and 2 Ton capacities with an 8 ft Lift. Each unit uses hook suspension for portable attachment to a properly rated overhead support and requires no electrical or pneumatic power.

The lightweight yet rugged design uses a rigid cast aluminum alloy frame that keeps the internal gears and bearings aligned while enclosing the operating components against dirt and weather. Precision-cut, heat-treated alloy steel gearing supports smooth manual operation and long service life. A Weston-type mechanical brake controls the load during lifting, holding and lowering, while the standard load regulator helps protect the hoist against excessive overloads.

Spark-resistant Series USA configurations use corrosion-resistant components at common contact and wear points. Product-family construction includes bronze-alloy or stainless steel hooks, stainless steel hook latches, Type 304 stainless steel load chain and spark-resistant hand chain materials selected according to capacity. These features make the hoists suitable for certain hazardous or corrosive applications, but the complete lifting system and operating environment must be evaluated before use.
