Product Description

Budgit hand-geared hook-suspension trolleys provide controlled horizontal movement for compatible hoists and suspended loads along overhead beams. The listed configurations cover 1, 1-1/2, and 2 Metric Ton capacities, with standard and spark-resistant versions available. Hook suspension allows a compatible hook-mounted hoist to be connected beneath the trolley, while the hand-geared travel system provides more precise positioning than a plain push trolley without requiring electrical or pneumatic power.

The operator moves the trolley by pulling the hand chain, which transfers motion through the geared drive to the trolley wheels. This arrangement is suitable for heavier loads, longer travel distances, and applications where manually pushing the suspended load would be difficult or provide insufficient control. The geared mechanism allows gradual forward or reverse travel for equipment installation, fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and general industrial material handling.

The 1 Metric Ton configurations fit a 5 in beam height, use a 4 in wheel-tread diameter, and can negotiate a 36 in minimum-radius curve. Available beam-flange ranges are 3 to 5 in, 5 to 7 in, and 7 to 9 in. The 1-1/2 and 2 Metric Ton configurations fit a 6 in beam height, use a 4-15/16 in wheel-tread diameter, and require a 48 in minimum-radius curve. Their available beam-flange ranges are 3-3/8 to 6 in, 6 to 8 in, and 8 to 10 in.
