Yale PSB ratchet lever hoists are steel-body manual hoists designed for lifting, lowering, pulling, tensioning, and positioning loads. The listed configurations include 3/4 Ton models with 10 and 20 ft Lift and a 6 Ton model with 20 ft Lift. The spreadsheet identifies disc-brake, screw-brake, and mesh-brake configurations, preserving important differences between these legacy PSB products.

The selector lever allows the operator to choose lifting, lowering, or neutral operation. When the unloaded hoist is placed in neutral, the free-wheeling function permits rapid adjustment of the load-chain length for faster hook positioning. Applying a load automatically returns the mechanism from free-wheeling to its brake-locked operating condition.

The steel housing protects the internal gearing, brake, ratchet, and chain-driving components during heavy-duty material-handling operations. The 3/4 Ton PSB uses single-strand load-chain reeving, while the 6 Ton model uses two load-chain falls. Upper and lower hooks are equipped with safety latches, and the manufacturer’s instructions require attachments to be correctly sized and seated in the hook saddle.
