Yale Load King LH2 hand chain hoists are manually operated lifting units engineered for dependable load handling in industrial, construction, maintenance, fabrication, and material-handling applications. The listed configurations include 1 Ton models with 8 and 12 ft Lift and a 5 Ton model with a 30 ft Lift. The 1 Ton models have a 14 in minimum distance between hooks, require approximately 69 lb of hand-chain pull at rated load, and use single-strand reeving. The 5 Ton model has a 24-1/4 in minimum distance between hooks, requires approximately 75 lb of pull, and uses three-strand reeving.

High-strength aluminum-alloy frame and cover castings provide a durable structure while helping reduce overall hoist weight. Rugged Hoistaloy load chain is designed for strength and long service life, while fully machined forged liftwheel pockets promote smooth chain travel and efficient lifting. High-efficiency spur gearing reduces the hand-chain effort needed to raise the load and supports consistent operation throughout the hoist’s rated capacity range.

An enclosed, contoured Weston-type automatic brake provides positive load control during lifting and lowering. The LH2 product family was also offered with a standard load limiter for automatic overload protection, along with optional chain containers, plated load and hand chain, Latchlok hooks, bronze hooks, Bullard hooks, and eye-type suspension on compatible capacities. The standard hand-chain drop is normally two feet less than the specified lifting height.
