Yale PE2 ratchet lever hoists are manually operated link-chain hoists designed for lifting, lowering, pulling, dragging, stretching, tensioning, and positioning loads in heavy-duty construction and industrial applications. Both listed configurations provide a 5 ft Lift with single-strand reeving. The 3/4 Ton model has a 10-3/4 in minimum distance between hooks, a 1-1/32 in hook opening, and requires approximately 58 lb of lever pull at rated load. The 1-1/2 Ton model has a 14-1/4 in minimum distance between hooks, a 1-1/8 in hook opening, and requires approximately 89 lb of lever pull.

Lightweight aluminum-alloy frame and housing components provide a durable yet portable structure for field and shop use. The powder-coated exterior helps protect the hoist during outdoor and industrial service, while Hoistaloy hardened steel link-type load chain provides the strength, flexibility, and wear resistance required for repeated lifting and pulling cycles. Forged upper and lower swivel hooks are equipped with safety latches to help retain correctly seated rigging attachments.

A weatherized Weston-type automatic brake provides positive load holding and controlled positioning. The free-wheeling chain adjustment lever allows unloaded chain to be moved quickly for faster hook positioning, and the primary operating controls face the user for convenient handling. The simplified internal arrangement supports routine inspection and servicing, while the 21-1/4 in operating lever provides controlled manual movement of the rated load.
