The Yale ACL Air Chain Hoist is a lightweight, portable pneumatic hoist designed for industrial lifting, load positioning and maintenance operations. The products shown include two 0.25 Ton models with a 10 ft Lift, 61 FPM lifting speed and lever pendant control. The 1 Ton configurations provide a 21.5 FPM lifting speed, with one model featuring a 10 ft Lift and lever pendant control and the other featuring a 12 ft Lift with lift chain control. All four products are designed to operate with a 90 PSI compressed-air supply.

The compact ACL design allows the hoist to be carried and moved between suitable lifting locations, making it useful for maintenance work where a single hoist may be required at several workstations. Hook suspension provides a portable connection to a properly rated overhead attachment point. Variable-speed operation gives the operator control over lifting and lowering, while the lever pendant configuration is designed to provide accurate load inching and positioning.

The ACL product family uses an axially positioned rotary-vane air motor, a twin high-ratio planetary gear assembly and a disc-type motor brake. Lifetime-lubricated gearing helps reduce routine gear-maintenance requirements, while drop-forged upper and lower hooks with safety latches support secure attachment. The manufacturer specifies dry, clean compressed air, a filter and lubricator in the supply line and a minimum 1/2 in ID supply hose.
