The CM AirStar Air Chain Hoist is a compact pneumatic lifting unit designed for general commercial and industrial material-handling applications. This hook-suspended model has a 2000 lb capacity, 10 ft Lift, double-reeved load-chain configuration and 23 FPM lifting speed. It provides a minimum distance of 17-1/8 in between hooks and uses pull-cord control for convenient lifting and lowering.

An eight-vane rotary air motor provides high starting torque, smooth acceleration and responsive load control. Pull-cord operation offers a lightweight and economical control arrangement, while external adjustment screws allow the lifting and lowering speeds to be reduced when slower load positioning is required. Limit stops help prevent excessive travel in both directions.

The hoist operates from a compressed-air supply rated for 90 PSI and approximately 48 SCFM. It has a 3/8 in NPTF air inlet and requires a minimum 1/2 in ID supply hose. A heavy-duty shoe-type brake holds the suspended load, while accurately machined alloy steel gearing provides compact and efficient power transmission for continuous-duty operation.
