CM Bandit ratchet lever hoists are compact, manually operated chain hoists designed for lifting, lowering, pulling, dragging, stretching, tensioning, and positioning loads. The listed configurations include 3/4 Ton models with 10 and 20 ft Lift and a 1-1/2 Ton model with 10 ft Lift. Their lightweight, portable construction makes them suitable for industrial maintenance, construction, fabrication, equipment installation, and rigging work in confined or obstructed areas.

The frame, covers, and operating lever are manufactured from impact-resistant steel stampings, while heat-treated steel gearing transfers operating force through the hoist. A powder-coated housing and zinc-plated major components provide added corrosion protection, and the load-tested, zinc-plated welded-link steel chain is designed for repeated lifting and pulling service. The 3/4 Ton models require approximately 45 lb of pull at rated load and use a 9-5/8 in lever, while the 1-1/2 Ton model requires approximately 64 lb of pull and uses a 10-1/4 in lever.

Easy free chaining allows unloaded slack chain to be taken up or positioned quickly before the load is engaged and is designed to resist accidental free chaining while under load. The handle rotates through 360 degrees for operation from multiple positions, while double-reduction gearing helps minimize operating effort. An enclosed Weston-type load brake provides controlled load holding and positioning, and the forged upper and lower swivel hooks include cast safety latches and wide throat openings for easier attachment to properly rated pick points.
