Product Description

The Coffing EC Series Electric Chain Hoist is engineered for heavy-duty industrial lifting, repetitive production work and controlled positioning of suspended loads. The large-frame models shown range from 1 Ton to 3 Ton capacities, with 10, 15 or 20 ft Lift configurations and lifting speeds from 10 to 48 FPM. Each model uses one-speed control, a 2 or 3 hp three-phase motor and reconnectable 230/460 VAC power.

The large-frame design uses ductile iron load-bearing housings for strength and cast aluminum alloy non-load-bearing housings to reduce unnecessary weight. Heat-treated alloy steel gearing operates in an oil bath for dependable lubrication, efficient heat dissipation and smooth power transmission. The higher-torque frame is specifically designed for Coffing’s 2 and 3 hp three-phase motor configurations.

Independent mechanical and motor brakes provide controlled stopping and secure load holding. An overload-limiting clutch helps protect the lifting mechanism against excessive loading, while adjustable upper and lower limit switches restrict hook travel. Weather-resistant pushbutton controls, an internal strain cable and transformer-isolated low-voltage control circuitry support dependable operation in demanding industrial environments.
