Product Description

The Coffing ECGT Electric Chain Hoist combines a large-frame EC hoist with a cross-mounted geared trolley for heavy-duty industrial lifting and controlled horizontal load movement. The models shown are available in capacities from 1 Ton to 5 Ton, with 10, 15 or 20 ft Lift configurations and lifting speeds ranging from 5 to 48 FPM. Each configuration uses one-speed hoist control and 230/460 VAC three-phase power.

The geared trolley is moved along the supporting beam by pulling a separate hand chain, giving the operator precise control over horizontal positioning without requiring a powered trolley motor. The cross-mounted arrangement positions the hoist body across the beam to create a compact lifting system suitable for manufacturing, fabrication, assembly and maintenance operations.

Large-frame EC hoists use ductile iron load-bearing housings for strength and cast aluminum alloy non-load-bearing housings to help reduce overall weight. Heat-treated alloy steel gearing operates in an oil bath for reliable lubrication and heat dissipation. Independent motor and mechanical load brakes provide controlled stopping and load holding, while an overload-limiting clutch helps protect the hoist from excessive loading.
