The Nova Horizontal Lifting Clamp is a steel plate clamp designed for the horizontal lifting and handling of flat steel plates, structural steel, and similar flat materials. Sold as a set of two, these clamps are used in pairs to provide balanced, stable lifts when moving plate stock in a horizontal orientation. The clamping mechanism engages the plate edge securely under load, with the grip force increasing proportionally as the load weight increases, providing a self-locking action that enhances safety during the lift.

Each clamp in the set is rated to a working load limit of 2 Ton and features a jaw opening range of 0 to 1.57 inches, accommodating a range of plate thicknesses within that span. The clamps are designed for use on materials with a maximum hardness of 30 HRC (285 HV or 300 HB), which covers the majority of standard structural and mild steel plate applications. A minimum working load of 20% of the maximum WLL must be maintained during use to ensure the clamping mechanism remains properly engaged and the load is held securely.
