The Coffing Model PA ratchet lever hoist is a lightweight manual chain hoist designed for lifting, lowering, pulling, tensioning, and positioning loads in construction, commercial, maintenance, and industrial applications. Model PA-3010 provides a 1-1/2 Ton capacity, 10 ft Lift, 14-1/2 in minimum distance between hooks, 1-1/8 in hook opening, and single-strand load-chain reeving. Approximately 41 lb of handle effort is required to move the rated load.

The hoist body and operating handle are constructed from high-strength ductile aluminum alloy, creating a rugged yet portable unit that is easier to transport and rig than heavier iron-bodied designs. Heat-treated alloy steel gearing is lifetime lubricated, while hardened steel load chain provides strength and resistance to wear during repeated lifting and pulling operations.

A one-handed free-chaining mechanism allows unloaded slack chain to be taken up and positioned quickly before the load is engaged. The short 12 in handle rotates through 360 degrees, providing greater operating flexibility around machinery, structural members, and other obstructions. An enclosed disc brake helps keep its operating surfaces clean and dry while reducing drift and backlash for positive load holding and controlled positioning.
