The Coffing TB-603 is a compact, manually operated ratchet lever hoist designed for lifting, lowering, pulling and positioning loads. This configuration provides a 1,100 lb load capacity, 5 ft Lift, 11-1/8 in minimum distance between hooks and single-strand load-chain reeving. Its compact body and short 6-3/8 in operating lever support portable use in industrial maintenance, construction, fabrication and equipment-positioning applications.

A centre neutral position allows the unloaded chain to be pulled through the hoist in either direction for quick lower-hook positioning. Moving the directional lever to the load or unload position engages the operating mechanism so repeated handle movement raises, pulls, lowers or releases the load. The hoist can operate in different positions when it is rigged in a straight line between the hooks and the frame remains free to swivel beneath the upper connection.

The TB-603 uses hardened steel load chain, a Weston-style load brake and a rubberized handle grip. Chain-guide rollers and a stripper help direct the chain through the liftwheel, while the ratchet, pawl and brake-disc assembly provide controlled load movement and holding. Its compact construction also makes the hoist convenient to transport and store between jobs.
