Product Description

The Yale Y80 Electric Wire Rope Hoist is a heavy-duty lifting unit designed for industrial material handling and repetitive load-positioning applications. The double-reeved configurations shown range from 0.5 Ton to 2 Ton capacities, with lifting heights from 14 to 47 ft and lifting speeds from 14 to 50 FPM. Each model includes pushbutton control, a disc brake and compatibility with 208, 230, 460 or 575 VAC electrical systems.

The Y80 uses a high-torque hoist motor and a DC disc motor brake to provide smooth lifting and controlled stopping. A positive-action mechanical load-lowering control brake forms part of the holding-brake system for dependable load control. The modular design supports multiple suspension arrangements and allows the hoist to be configured for different capacities, lifts, speeds and operating requirements.

Triple-reduction helical and spur gearing operates in an oil bath to promote long gear life and smooth power transmission. A deep-grooved, large-diameter rope drum helps control wire-rope placement and reduce overwrapping, while the improved plow-steel wire rope provides strength and durability. The shrouded lower block helps reduce finger-pinch exposure during load handling.
